Job Description:
To create a flexible elementary class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with students; to establish good relationships with parents and other staff members.
Responsibilities:
1. Proficiency in use of Microsoft email and office programs.
2. Teaches core subjects to bilingual students in grades 1-5 using an American curriculum and standards; evaluates students and prepares reports.
3. Administers and develops subject specific assessments for the purpose of assessing student competency levels and/or developing individual learning plans.
4. Forms lesson plans and instructional materials that provide individualized and whole group instruction for the needs of each student.
5. Uses a variety of instruction strategies: adaptable for online and on-campus environments
6. Communicates with parents on a regular to discuss students’ progress.
7. Collaborates with colleagues in committees to gather ideas on the successful implementation of curriculum.
